A meat-eating proceratosaurid tyrannosauroid theropod dinosaur from the Middle Jurassic of Russia.
Kileskus (Latin Kileskus, from Khakass "kileskus", is a lizard). It lived in the Jurassic period and inhabited Asia.
Its fossils have been found in places such as Khakassia (Russian Federation). Kileskus was a carnivore. Its length reached 5-6 meters.
Kileskus is classified as a basal representative of the family of Proceratosaurids. Proceratosaurids are distinguished by a prominent cranium ridge, but it is impossible to confirm its presence in the spleen since the bones of the dinosaur are too fragmented. Nevertheless, since both the other representatives of the family of Protseratosaurids had a crest, the researchers suggest that he also was present at the Kileskus (the principle of a phylogenetic community).
On the premaxillary bone, located in front of the dinosaur's upper jaw, there were 4 teeth on each side, and on each half of the upper jaw, which was about 29 cm in length, 17 teeth. This differs from that of the Proceratosaurus, the upper jaw of which contained 22 t
